The Parties

Sure, you can ride this as a race and go for a wooden medallion if you’d like, but the Coon Fork 40 is all about the lakes and beaches and parties. So plan to stop and hang out for a while!

THE BASE CAMP

Coon Fork County Park

THE HALFWAY HANG

Ride beach to beach! Plan a midway stop in the lakeside town of Rock Dam at the wooded lake beach pavilion for the Halfway Hang. Whether you stay for five minutes or forty, with tunes and good vibes all around, here you can refuel with free snacks and beverages, or cool off with a dip in the lake thanks to restrooms right on site (pack your suit!).

Plus our lead bike shop partner Compass Bike Lab, will be on hand with mechanical support!

THE FINISH LINE AFTER PARTY

The beachside finish line (new in 2024!) will dump you out right at the party where you’re given a ticket for a free beer from our partner Bloomer Brewing and meal (burgers, brats, beans, chips, cookie, etc). Invite the whole family or friend gang to join you for music, food & drinks, and even a swim!

Plus there will be awards for top finishers in their categories, a playground, options for family hikes around the lake, and more. After riders enjoy their free meal and beer, support CORBA through additional food and beverage purchases all afternoon.

FAMILY & FRIENDS

Invite your family and friends to join you at Coon Fork Beach for the finish line party and/or at the Rock Dam Lake pavilion and park for the half-way hang. At both locations there are great playgrounds, beaches, restrooms, and more. However, the main event for friends and family will be the after party at Coon Fork Beach, with food and drinks for sale, hike-able trails around the lake, and more.

PARKING

Plenty of parking is available at the Coon Fork Dayside Beach paved lot, on overflow grass lots, along the driveway, or even the approaching road if those are full. Volunteers will be on hand to help direct traffic.

Each registered rider gets a $5 parking pass included with their ride. Additional friends or family attending the After Party may need their own pass to park in the lots. This pass can be bought at the station on-site, or ahead of time on the county website.
